NSW:Protest convoy to hit traffic across NSW

Widespread traffic disruption is expected across New South Wales this weekend as a
protest convoy of trucks, cars and caravans travels through the state on its way to Canberra.

The National Road Freighters Association has organised the rally against the minority
government, with the aim of a fresh federal election.

Around 11 convoys from all over Australia are travelling through NSW on their way to
Canberra and police are working closed with the RTA to minimise traffic disruptions.

Acting Superintendent BERNIE RYAN says the convoys will travel along many major thoroughfares
to reach their destination.

The convoy is expected to arrive in the nation's capital tomorrow.
