NSW: Police renew appeal for witnesses into smash shop shooting
SYDNEY, Feb 2 AAP - Police are appealing for witnesses to the shooting murder of a
man in a south western Sydney smash repair shop.
The victim, aged in his 20s, was struck by several bullets fired from a semi-automatic
weapon in an industrial area in Condell Park about 6.30pm (AEDT) yesterday.
At least one round struck him in the head.
A NSW police spokeswoman said police attended a briefing on the attack today and were
relying on witnesses to come forward with any clues.
Task Force Gain, which is investigating a spree of gang-related shootings in the area,
was involved in the case along with homicide squad police.
But it was still unclear whether the shooting was connected to a string of other attacks
in the area, police said.
