Vic: Murchsion crash scene devasting, paramedic says
A paramedic at the scene of last night's head-on smash in Victoria's north, which claimedthe lives of four people, says his heart sank when he saw the devastation.
Four people - including a baby - are dead after two vans collided and were then hitby a truck on the Goulburn Valley Highway, five kilometres from Murchison East.
GLEN ROBERTS from Rural Ambulance Victoria has told ABC radio the force of the impactcrushed one of the vans beyond recognition and frantic efforts to revive the victims werenot enough.
A man, woman and baby inside one van and a 41-year-old woman from Murchison who wasdriving the other van were all killed.
The lone survivor, a girl in the second van, has been taken to the Goulburn ValleyHospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed when a car ran off Melbourne's Western Ring Road andplummeted 60 metres down an embankment after a collision at Keilor last night.
